Winter is coming

… and I am loving it! I am sorry if you do not like winter … ask me again in November and I will say otherwise as well. (My guess is I finally reached an acceptable lvl of Vit D … but bloodtests will show this at some point. I take a good mood any day.)

Weather was nice today. Clouds were covering every possible dawn action and so I could focus mostly on running. I was alone at the beach and a drizzle cooled me off. Check out even my hill is hiding:

I had so much fun running with all those birds:

Up and down the beach I flew (let’s just pretend ok?)

Oh and I did remember I wanted to work on my bird vocabulary:

Surely the one on the rock is some Gull? Like uhm Herring gull? (I know it is not a heron …)

Now what is the bird to the left? It is a funny one and always dives for a long time before reappearing, looking around and diving down again.

  1. The diver is either a Shag or a Cormorant. No tittering down at the back there! And the gull could be anything; maybe a Black-backed. Or maybe Herring Gull. Or sometimes those pesky Robins like to dress up and hang around the beach in disguise…

      1. Good question. I thinks it is fake news that we could be wrong – that is just impossible. But if someone would come and tell us the true bird species it would be an alternative fact.

      2. Ps I saw a great article in ‘the onion’. There was a photo of people at a rally holding a placard saying ‘smart people – help us’ or some such thing. And a really good spoof article saying ‘all you smart people please come back and tell us what to do – we got it wrong’. Natch I consider myself to be smart 😳Who doesn’t? But it made me laugh. Somehow our conversation brought this article to mind….😁 I need a smart person to name the birds for me……
